Where the inspiration started

Creating a beautiful ‘coffee table’ book is every creative agency’s dream brief - not to mention working with one of New Zealand’s most progressive plumbing and bathroom retailers. As a flagship campaign, the annually published Bathroom Book is the ultimate resource for architects, interior designers and consumers.

The client wanted a fresh approach to both the design and layout of the book with page formatting inspired by high-end catalogues distributed by international product manufacturers. The project started with a completely new creative direction that included designing a cutting edge grid structure format, application of typographic specification, colour palette and imagery treatment. We produced all of the copy content, and the imagery was sourced directly from international and local manufacturers. Every product range was incorporated into the book, complete with size specifications and technical information. The creative direction was then applied to all forms of media; from a comprehensive website through to advertising in some of New Zealand’s most prestigious magazine publications.
